T.W.A.S. (This Week At School...)
What a great day we had hiking the Bruce Trail in the Pretty River Valley area on Tuesday. While the terrain was a little slick, we could not have asked for better weather! So proud of my group for the effort they put in and the way they represented N.E.S. The day went off without a hitch (minus the bee stings!)
Students have begun to work on their first writing form where they will "recount" their day, progressing through the writing stages from planning...to...publishing. They are encouraged the use their 5 senses and write descriptively. In math, we will be wrapping up our first Number Sense and Numeration unit on Place Value.
Just a reminder to students and parents that Word Study is due each Friday and that spelling quizzes are to be signed and returned to school weekly.
Thank you to those families who were able to join us last night at the school for "Meet the Teacher." Once again, I sincerely apologize to those that I did not get a chance to chat with.
